Get started today

Our choices today impact all of our tomorrows.

Let us help you tailor a comprehensive recycling strategy for your facility or company. With over a century of combined team experience in the recycling and manufacturing industry, we have the tools to achieve results.

Our Past

We were founded by Charles Cougle as Cougle’s Waste Company in the 1940s when the focus was eliminating waste & promoting essential recycling and reuse for the national war efforts. After the war, he and his wife, Marjorie, continued to provide recycling for residents and industries.

Robert Cougle was born into the industry and learned hands-on business and strategies. He and his wife, Debra Cougle, took over in the 1980s to drive growth and business opportunities.

A devastating fire destroyed the growing business in 1992, leading the Cougle family to the current Hamburg location. Although the Hamburg building seemed vast and outside the previously defined service area, it was a blessing in disguise.

Our Present

We presently have two locations.

CRI is still family-owned and operated by the third generation.

Robert can still be found on site many days, but Matthew and Tiffany (Macaulay) use the hands-on experience, mentored by future generations, to drive the company’s future.

Your future?

Let us help you map your sustainability goals, potential savings, and positive environmental impact.

After gathering your unique team goals, processes, and materials, we will tailor a program to achieve the best results for the environment and your bottom line.

  • Whether one pallet a week or 100 tons, we can review your needs and suggest the most cost-effective and environmentally beneficial solutions.

  • Perhaps you already have a plan in place. An onsite visit with our team trained and focused on recycling solutions may be able to identify opportunities previously missed.

  • Step by step, we can help you achieve (or remain) on the pathway towards zero waste.

  • No matter the generator, your overall impact on our environment is determined by the efforts and care you put forth. Visit www.recycwithcare for tips and guidance.
